Just close your eyes and focus on your heart. It beats, faster than what you can feel in your chest. Your heart will beat as long as you are alive- whether you are busy or not, sleeping or awake, breathing clean or polluted air, hungry or full, thirsty or quenched. It beats and with each beat, it pumps blood around your body. You are alive as long as it keeps on working. You are alive as long as it performs its job well.
Consider this sentence: Besides your physical heart belonging to the body, a human has a heart within his inner self.
This heart is his identity and the very center that determines what a person loves and what he despises. In other words, it is a human’s inner heart that makes life possible through its pulsations and blood circulation at every moment. However, this heart never stops working due to any external factor. It may become ill from breathing polluted air and carry infected blood through the body, but it never ceases beating.
As mentioned earlier, the human’s heart can be healthy or sick; with each beat, it guides the person either along the path of humanity- higher than angelic beings- or along the path of animality- lower than animals. The health or sickness of a person’s inner heart depends on the air it breathes. Now tell me: what do you think this “air” refers to?
